Welcome to Wellbeing Days in Krakow

The main event Wellbeing Day in Botanic Garden is happening on 29th of May, however you can also register for accompanying events on 30th and 31st of May with additional links.

to celebrate completing the Integralabplus project aiming at active ageing and emotional self-care of elderly people all over Europe

The programme of the Event: 

10.00 - 10.30 a.m. - arriving and registration at the Event

10.30 - 11.30 - Welcome Ceremony, meeting with active aging experts - researchers representing 3 Universities (Jagiellonian University in Krakow, University of Physical Education in Krakow, Muenster University)

11.30 - 13.30 - Activities in the Garden:

Physical, mental and creative activities and guided tours in the Botanic Garden

Please  choose one of the 3 tracks to experience group activities, please read the description before you reserve an adequate ticket.

1/ ACTIVE TRACK is for you if you feel you are in a good physical condition, you like to walk and experience dynamic exercises.

It includes activities such as: Pilates exercises, walking with Smovey (innovative tool - vibrating ring system to increase your fitness https://smoveynorthamerica.com/) or dancing and relaxing by self-massage practices.

You will meet three professional instructors and participate in 2 physical activity sessions and 1 self-massage session. Each session lasts about 15 minutes. After that experience you will meet a professional guide and participate in a short guided tour via the most interesting places in the Botanic garden.

2/ LIGHT TRACK - if you want to be in a slow relaxing mode, you are welcome to join this programme.

It includes activities such as: session on isometric exercises in sitting position, breathing exercises and some slow flexibility exercises (like Tai-chi), some mindfull walking in the nature or participating in self-expression session with specialists in drama. You will participate in 3-4 sessions in the garden not demanding walking a long distance. Each session is about 15 minutes long. You will have a lot of time to relax.


3/ NATURE TRACK - if your priority is to get to know more about plants in the Botanic Garden, be guided in mysterious corners of the garden and get to know the history of the place - this route is for you.

It includes a nearly one hour long walk with a professional botanic guide, getting to know characteristics of the plants and admiring the garden. Afterwards you can participate in a small workshop choosing origami or drawing a plant with an animator. 

1.30 p.m. - 2.00 p.m. - Presentations of groups of active 60+ Krakow inhabitants

  • Water and cold drinks will be available. There is a cafe in the Botanic Garden, where you can get some snacks during the event.

This Event is organised in frame of the the EU-funded Erasmus+ project "Intergralabplus". You will meet practitioners (representatives of NGOs', Seniors' Day Care Centers, Medical fitness, University staff) and volunteers who are interested in practical programs for elderly persons. You will have opportunity to get to know representative of project partner institutions and participants to pilot courses delivered in frame of the project: https://www.integralabplus.com/Partners

The city of Krakow is fantastic location for this Event. The cradle of history, culture&science placed in the heart of Europe, well connected with most of the European capitals, offering comfortable Conference facilities and unique tourist attractions! In this magic city we will organize unforgettable moments of integration
