Historia rodziny Alary w Cairanne sięga 1692 roku, kiedy André Alary osiedlił się w miejscowości. Denis Alary reprezentuje dziś dziesiąte pokolenie rodziny i dołączył do rodzinnej posiadłości w 1981 roku, po studiach enologicznych w Montpellier. Od 2016 roku w pracy w Domaine Alary wspiera go syn Jean-Etienne, kontynuując rodzinną tradycję.
Cairanne znajduje się w południowej części Doliny Rodanu i należy do grona najbardziej prestiżowych apelacji Cru des Côtes du Rhône. Status samodzielnej apelacji Cru Cairanne został oficjalnie przyznany w 2016 roku, wcześniej funkcjonowała ona jako Côtes du Rhône Villages Cairanne.

We are delighted to invite you to a FREE* wine tasting featuring Denis Alary of Domaine Alary, one of the historic family estates of Cairanne in the Southern Rhône.

During the evening, Denis Alary will personally guide us through a selection of wines from the domaine, sharing the story of his family, the vineyards and the philosophy behind the wines. It will be an opportunity to discover Cairanne directly through the perspective of one of its long-standing vignerons.
The Alary family has been connected with Cairanne since 1692, when André Alary settled in the village. Today, Denis Alary represents the 10th generation of the family at the estate, which he joined in 1981 after studying oenology in Montpellier. His son Jean-Etienne joined him in 2016, continuing the family tradition while bringing experience from wineries in Australia, New Zealand and Burgundy.
Located in the northern part of Vaucluse, Cairanne is one of the Cru appellations of the Southern Rhône. The appellation was officially recognised as a Cru in 2016, following its earlier status as Côtes du Rhône Villages Cairanne. It produces both red and white wines, with Grenache playing an important role in the red wines.
