The online payment of conference fee is available with following terms and conditions.
§ 1 The object of the Terms
The present Terms determine the rules of acceptance of electronic payments for conference fee by the University of Warsaw, based at 26/28 Krakowskie Przedmieście, 00-927 Warszawa, Poland, NIP 525-001-12-66, REGON 000001258, hereinafter called "the UW", made using the UW web sites. The present Terms constitute rules in the understanding of Article 8 of the Act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of services by internet.
§ 2 The object of transaction
The amount and terms of payment of the conference fee have been determined above on this page. Online payments made by Visa and MasterCard credit cards, as well as by bank transfers to a designated bank account of the UW shall be carried out by PayU S.A.
§ 3 Technological requirements
Proper use of the services provided electronically by the UW requires that the computer system of the Payer meets the following minimal requirements: the use of web browsers Mozilla Firefox 45.0, Internet Explorer 12.0 or their later versions, with installed software to use JavaScript and cookies. The UW shall not bear responsibility for technical problems or limitations in the hardware used by the User, which prevent them from making the transaction referred to in § 2. All the activities undertaken by the Payer via the UW web sites shall be done in accordance with applicable law.
§ 4 Complaints procedure
Complaint procedures about conference fee payments made electronically should be sent to [email protected] or [email protected]. A complaint should state the following: the name, surname of the complaining party, as well as a detailed description of and reason for the complaint. The complaints received will be dealt with immediately by the conference Organizing Committee in the order of filing, but no later than within 14 days of filing. The complaining party shall be informed about the outcome of the complaint in the same way in which the complaint was filed, at the address provided in the correspondence.
§ 5 Refund of the conference fee
Refunds will not be provided.
§ 6 Protection of personal data
Personal data of the User provided in course of the transaction in order to perform the present Agreement shall be processed by the University of Warsaw, based at 26/28 Krakowskie Przedmieście, Poland, NIP 525-001-12-66, REGON 000001258, in accordance with the Act of 29 August 1997 on the protection of personal data (uniform text: Journal of Laws of 1015, item 2135, as amended). Submission of personal data is voluntary but necessary for the transaction. The User has the right to access their data and correct them.
§ 7 Liability of the Parties
All disputes arising out of making payment electronically by the UW under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of ordinary courts.

Data Protection Officer (DPO)
The Controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) who may be contacted via e-mail at: [email protected].
You may contact the DPO in all matters regarding your personal data processing by the University of Warsaw and executing your rights related to personal data processing.
However, the DPO's duties shall not include other matters.
Purposes of and legal basis for processing
Your personal data will be processed for the purposes of "Cognitive Approaches to Art: A Reassessment of Results and Articulating New Possibilities" conference.
The basis for personal data processing is provided by Article 6(1)(…) of the GDPR.
Consent may be revoked at any time, for example by sending an e-mail to: [email protected] or [email protected]. Please be reminded that withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Data retention period
Your data shall be processed for a period of the duration of the conference and for publication purposes.
Data recipients
Access to your personal data shall be granted to authorized employees, associates and/or students of the University of Warsaw who must process your data in connection with the executed project.
Entities that the Controller commissioned to perform certain activities, entailing the necessity to process your personal data may be data recipients.
Data transfers outside of the European Economic Area (EEA).
Your data may also be processed by Google, our G-Suite for education service provider (with whom we have signed a data processing agreement) at their data processing centers.
Rights connected with data processing
We guarantee you the ability to exercise all your rights according to the principles specified by the GDPR, i.e. the right to:
- access the data and receive a copy;
- rectify (correct) your personal data;
- restrict personal data processing;
- erase personal data (subject to Article 17(3) of the GDPR);
- lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if you believe that the personal data processing violates the personal data protection laws.
Obligation to provide data and consequences of failure to provide data
Providing data is necessary for the purposes of "Cognitive Approaches to Art: A Reassessment of Results and Articulating New Possibilities" conference. Providing other data that is not necessary for the purposes of participation in the congress is voluntary.
