The speaker is one of our own - Michele Fiorini. In case you're curious who Michele is, here's a short bio:

Dr. Michele Fiorini is a highly accomplished engineer with a career spanning Italy, the UK, and Poland. He holds leadership positions at Leonardo S.p.A. and within international organizations like IALA and NIAG, and has served as Chair of Council of the IET. His expertise is widely recognized through his fellowship with the IET, senior membership in the IEEE, professional registration with the Engineering Council, UK, and his role as a business coach at EUDIS. Dr. Fiorini is a prolific author and inventor, holding an international patent and having co-edited three books, including "Illustrating Digital Innovation Towards Intelligent Fashion" (Springer, 2024). He was recently appointed as an editor of the IET book series on transportation and maintains strong ties to academia through his involvement with the Gdańsk University of Technology as an advisory board member and vice-president of the MBA Alumni Club.
