Cypress on Autopilot: Local Agent for Smarter Test Optimization - Krzysztof Dziadul
Abstrakt:
This presentation is my attempt to build a Cypress AI Agent in a local environment, designed to maximize personal efficiency and reduce test maintenance costs. I leveraged the lightweight Qwen 2.5 Coder model (via Ollama) within a Node.js architecture to achieve this. I will discuss the mechanics and rationale behind designing an Agent that:Supports the creation of stable Cypress tests from the start, generating base code based on business requirements (Zephyr/Swagger).Analyzes Cypress error reports and diagnoses broken selectors and logical flaws in the test code.Proposes ready-to-implement code fixes (refactoring to data-cy) directly in the console, significantly reducing time spent on debugging.

This presentation explores how to integrate accessibility testing into the development lifecycle without slowing teams down. On real code examples we will be able to see how to directly integrate axe-core into your CI/CD pipeline using Cypress/Playwright. We will learn how to build the accessibility tests, understands which issues can be automated and how to present results in clear report for developers and designers. By the end you will know how to change the last-minute accessibility check into continuous practice.
