AI coding has changed how in approach software. You no longer need to be a full-time developer to build something real, and if you already code, AI can transform how fast and effectively you work.

This 5-hour, in-person seminar is designed for two groups:

• Non-coders who have experienced with promises or AI tools, maybe even generated code, but got stuck when things become too technical.
• Programmers who want to integrate AI into their everyday work—writing, debugging, and reviewing code faster and more effectively.

Wherever you start, this seminar gives you a systematic framework to use AI as a true coding partner.

What you'll learn

• Language models: what exists today, what they're good at, and how to pick the right one for your task
• Coding tools + AI: how professionals combine IDEs, extensions, and assistants to supercharge their work
• Prompt engineering for code: strategies that generate useful, working outputs instead of noise
• Structuring and debugging: how to break down problems step-by-step and get unstuck with AI support
• Quality control: how to evaluate AI-generated code even without deep coding knowledge
• Limits of AI: where it excels, where it fails, and when to bring in human expertise

Format

• Small group: limited seasons so everyone gets to ask questions and shape the discussion

I build AI systems and teach teams how to use them productively. While I can code, I use AI tools to achieve much of my work. I didn't start my career as a developer, but become one over the years, which means I know how both codes and non-coders think about problems.
