Piggy in the middle?

How the risk function can influence the risk management agenda across an organisation

Risk functions should sit at the heart of an organisation's risk management activities, but can sometimes struggle to influence the risk management agenda. Busy front-line functions can lose focus on internal control in the pursuit of opportunities, while the internal audit function may prioritise control at the expense of organisational growth and performance.

In this session insights from a recent ACCA report on the work of risk functions in organisations will be shared and discussed. Questions will outline the challenges faced by organisations and answers will present the solutions some teams have adopted to have their voice heard.
